Overview
Your employer may require you to fill out an online timesheet in Astute. If so, you can do this within your employee portal in the Timesheets tab. Then, you'll submit it for approval so it's ready to process in payroll.
Before you submit your timesheet, ensure that you check
- If your employment is finishing during the timesheet period, tick the ‘My employment finishes this week’ checkbox to notify your recruiter or employer.
- If you have sustained a reportable workplace injury for the period, change the ‘I did not’ drop-down field to ‘I did’ at the bottom of the timesheet. This should be done in addition to any OHS processes of your employer.
- If you did not work any hours in the timesheet period, tick the ‘I did not work for this period’ checkbox.
If you’ve entered hours on a timesheet for one job, submitting the timesheet will send a notification to your Approver.
If you have entered hours for more than one job on your timesheet, you will need to select which jobs you would like to submit from the popup window that appears when you click Submit, then click Confirm.
Jobs that are not selected to submit will be saved and can be submitted later. The status for these timesheets will be ‘Pending Submission’.
Reset a Submitted Timesheet
Once a timesheet is submitted, you won’t be able to edit it.
If the timesheet is Pending Approval and needs to be changed, you’ll need to ask your Approver to reject it first. This will send the timesheet back to your portal so that you can edit and resubmit.
After a timesheet has been approved, it can only be reset by a portal administrator, so you will need to contact them directly if this is required.
